The STLCA Research & Reporting Division was created to ensure housing oversight works for the public, not political convenience. Our mission is to deliver transparency through data, restore accountability through independent verification, and strengthen equity through enforcement integrity.

Our vision is a city where oversight cannot be rewritten or erased—where every inspection, complaint, and violation record remains public, permanent, and incorruptible. Through evidence-based research, blockchain-secured recordkeeping, and open-data reporting, STLCA is building a new standard for justice in Seattle’s rental housing system.
